This article will give a brief overview of the RRB examinations and RRB NTPC examinations.
The Ministry of Railways, Government of India manages the RRB. The full form of NTPC is Non- Technical Popular Categories. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Exam to fill various auxiliary posts in the Indian Railways. The RRB full form is the Railway Recruitment Board.
The Railway Service Commission was renamed as Railway Recruitment Board in the year 1985. In 1942, the Railway Recruitment Board was established and was named as the Railway Service Commission. Recruitment is done by Railway Recruitment Board for various posts such as Non-technical and popular category and Assistant Loco Pilot. The headquarters of Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is in New Delhi. The 21 RRBs functional all over India are Thiruvananthapuram, Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Allahabad, Secunderabad, Muzaffarpur, Gorakhpur, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Guwahati, Bilaspur, Chennai, Kolkata, Ajmer, Siliguri, Bhopal, Malda, Patna, and Ranchi.
The RRB NTPC Exam 2020-21 Pattern consists of CBT Stage-1, CBT Stage-2, Skill / Aptitude Test, Document Verification, and medical examination. The sections for both the stages of the RRB NTPC CBT Exam are General Intelligence and Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Mathematics. CBT Stage – 2 has 120 questions and the duration of the test is 90 minutes. CBT Stage – 1 has 100 questions and the duration is 90 minutes.
The recruitment is done for the posts of Station Master, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Goods Guard, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Traffic Assistant, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk, and Junior Time Keeper. The recruits working in the mentioned roles helps the Indian Railways to function smoothly. To apply for the post such as Commercial Apprentice, Station Master, Junior Accounts Assistant, Senior Clerk Cum typist, etc. must have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a government recognised university. A candidate who is 12th pass is eligible to apply for RRB NTPC exam vacancies for the undergraduate posts such as accounts clerk, typist, junior clerk positions.
The RRB NTPC Notification 2021 is tentatively expected to be released in February 2022. The final submission of Railway Recruitment Board, Non-Technical Popular Categories (RRB NTPC) Applications is tentatively expected to be in April 2022. RRB NTPC Exams are tentatively expected to take place in August 2022.
The various eligibility criteria for RRB NTPC 2020-21 is candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and for certain posts, should have at least passed the 12th Std. The maximum age limit for RRB NTPC examination is 30 years. The minimum age limit for RRB NTPC examination is 18 years. The candidates appearing for this examination have to be nationals of India, Bhutan, and Nepal.
The examinations conducted under the Railway Recruitment Board are RRB Group D, RRB JE, and RRB ALP.
